• Deliver database maintenance, performance tuning, and migration activities across our database estate.
• Own medium-complexity work from requirements through to implementation and release.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues while contributing to long-term improvements.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, validating outputs for quality, security, and accuracy.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and database modernization initiatives.
• Write and maintain automated tests and validation checks as part of your definition of done.
• Participate in code reviews, providing thoughtful feedback and helping raise engineering standards.
• Work within CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern Git-based workflows.

• Solid experience in database engineering, database administration, or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and database operations.
• Experience with backups, high availability, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, source control, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.
