• Lead the technical direction and delivery of Database Engineering Squad 2.
• Design and optimize database architectures across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Drive database performance tuning, scalability improvements, and modernization initiatives.
• Establish standards for database design, migrations, security, backup, and recovery.
• Lead complex schema changes, cloud migrations, and high-availability solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams to solve performance and reliability challenges at the right layer.
• Mentor and coach Database Engineers, fostering technical excellence and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Contribute to major incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
• Champion automation, Infrastructure as Code, database CI/CD, and operational best practices.

• Extensive database engineering experience, including architecture, performance tuning, and operational excellence at scale.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, or Managed Instance.
• Proven track record leading technical direction while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and modern Git workflows.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
