Responsibilities
- Build new features across the Beakon EHS platform using PHP, SuiteCRM, and open‑source technologies
- Work closely with Development Managers, Team Leaders, and other engineers to deliver well‑designed solutions
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Infrastructure teams to deliver high‑quality features
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, aligned with the product roadmap
- Work within an Agile team (e.g. Scrum), supporting sprint planning and delivery
- Help diagnose and fix software defects to improve reliability
- Write unit tests and documentation to support your work
- Share ideas and contribute to team practices and technical decisions
Skills and Experience
- Around 2+ years’ experience in a software development roleExperience building enterprise web applications using PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and JavaScript
- Familiar with PHP best practices and object‑oriented programming
- Front‑end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery/AJAX
- Exposure to SuiteCRM or SugarCRM is a plus
- Comfortable delivering features within a production environment
- Experience using Git or similar version control tools
- Basic understanding of UX and design principles
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Some experience writing front‑end and back‑end unit tests
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum)
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB
