The Senior Finance Associate role performs financial processes and services that are critical to the accurate and timely recording of business transactions. The role supports the Financial Controller in the end to end finance function for the ANZ region
Responsibilities
- Month-End Accounting: Handle accruals, software capitalization, month-end reports, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Fixed Assets Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, compute depreciation, and process journals.
- Treasury & Payroll: Oversee treasury management and process payroll maintenance.
- Year-End & Audits: Manage year-end accounting and support annual audits.
- Financial Transactions: Process customer invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
- Financial Analysis & Queries: Address ad-hoc finance queries and conduct financial analysis.
Skills and Experience
- Accounting Experience & Qualification: 4+ years of accounting experience with relevant qualifications.
- Financial Systems & Processes: Strong knowledge of accounting systems, global banking platforms, and end-to-end financial processes.
- Commercial & Tax Expertise: Experience in Australian taxation, payroll, and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal, and address matters promptly.
- Attention to Detail & Confidentiality: High accuracy in work, commitment to information security, and confidentiality.
- Accountability & Leadership: Takes responsibility for work performed and sets a positive example for the team.
- Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn, follow instructions, adapt to change, and demonstrate resilience.
