We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCOE) team in Hyderabad, India to support critical 24x7 cloud based infrastructure.

You will lead a small team of Cloud Infrastructure Engineers on a 24/7 shift pattern, with responsibility for the quality and availability of our core Cloud based platforms and products. You will lead the shift in monitoring, administering, and maintaining our client facing SaaS platforms, based across  AWS, Azure and GCP platforms. You should be willing to support in rotational shifts including weekend support.

• Lead a small team of engineers in a shift pattern to manage, monitor, and maintain key cloud infrastructure that supports our 24/7 client-facing platforms.
• Lead co-ordination activities across teams during incidents that may impact service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of cloud infrastructure issues.
• Work to improve the reliability, quality, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure.
• Continually measure and optimise system performance.
• Manage and implement approved changes into the infrastructure.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything but with our technology stack experience of some of the following is essential:

• 5+ years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure in highly available 24x7 customer facing environments.
• Strong experience of cloud hosting platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage concepts in cloud environments.
• Strong experience of server operating systems, primarily Windows and Linux.
• Strong experience of Microsoft based technologies such as Active Directory, IIS etc
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience working with database platforms such as MSSQL, MongoDB etc
• Proven ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
• Experience leading a small team of engineers.

Desirable:

• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycles
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Experience with compliance standards-based infrastructure such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials & FedRAMP, and general regulatory compliance management.
• Exposure to ITIL concepts and adoption.
