As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Ideagen, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our SaaS solutions within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams to expand our market presence

Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and research potential customers in the ANZ region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads through various channels (e.g., social media, email campaigns, networking events, webinars).
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with Ideagen's target market.

 

Customer Outreach & Relationship Building:

  • Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and social media. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Conduct needs analysis and present tailored solutions to address customer pain points.

 

Sales Process Management:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to transition qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Track and manage all interactions and progress in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Assist in preparing and delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations.

 

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities in the ANZ region. 
  • Provide feedback and insights to the marketing and product development teams to refine offerings and strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of regional sales and marketing plans.

 

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation activities with overall marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with the customer success team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients. 
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product developments and sales techniques. 

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a business development, sales, or related role, preferably within the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the ANZ market and business culture.
  • Experience with SaaS solutions in areas such as compliance, risk management, or quality assurances preferred.
  • Familiarity with the specific regulatory landscape and business environment in the ANZ region. 
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages spoken within the ANZ region. 
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. 
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
