As a Senior Software Engineer at Ideagen, you will be integral in building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design. This role requires proficiency in both front-end React development and back-end .NET Core using the C#.NET programming language. You will work across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from preliminary planning to maintaining software post-deployment. Your positive contributions within our Agile development team will be essential to our shared success.

- Implement new features across Ideagen Products using React, .NET, C#.NET, and open-source technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Development Managers, Team Leaders, and other Software Engineers to build well-architected cloud-hosted and on-premises enterprise solutions.
- Work with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, Development Engineers, Test Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard.
- Partner with the Product Design Team to create an optimal user experience.
- Engage in the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring product delivery aligns with the published roadmap within planned release cycles.
- Operate within an Agile Development Team, utilising frameworks such as Scrum.
- Contribute to defining and developing a Sprint backlog to achieve goals set by the Product team.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify software defects.
- Provide unit tests to support and validate development work.
- Contribute to the Development Team’s working practises and technology decisions.
- Create necessary documentation for the work produced.
- Mentor and coach other development team members, helping them grow their technical skillsets.

- At least 10 years of experience in a Software Development role is preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver technical design within an enterprise application using .NET Core and C#.NET.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing .NET programming best practises.
- Experience in web application front-end development using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A proven track record of delivering technical features within an enterprise application.
- Experience with Source Control, preferably Git.
- Good understanding of UX/Design principles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Experience writing front-end unit tests is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies/frameworks, such as Scrum.
- Database development experience in MS SQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, specifically GitLab.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences, e.g., presenting technical solutions to developers or highlighting pros/cons of architectural designs to management.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud-native technologies, specifically Table Store, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Containers.
