We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Assistant role who will provide an organized and proactive administration support in responding to different HR queries and issues by acting as the first point of contact for all employees contacting the People team throughout the employee life cycle. A high-level customer service style approach is required to co-ordinate confidential employee data to provide efficient and professional support to the business.

 

Directly support the Head of People (India) with the delivery of the wide scope of HR services as well as support the wider teams of Talent Acquisition and Reward where necessary, the People Assistant will be confident in dealing with a wide range of tasks, managing priorities and building relationships.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver excellent customer service to the business ensuring accuracy and efficiency with responses
  • Support with the onboarding of new starters through sending offers of employment, setting them up on the electronic HR system, conducting right to work checks, ensuring all payroll documents are provided and monitoring probation progress.
  • Be the first line support for employees and line managers with general queries and advice on policies, escalating to the Head of People (India) where required.
  • Own incoming queries in the People shared inbox for the business area and categorizing where appropriate.
  • Provide notetaking support in formal meetings and write up formal outcome letters where necessary.
  • Draft and produce employee letters such as changes to terms and conditions, family leave, references and resignation acknowledgements.
  • Provide proactive support to the wider People team across globe.
  • Produce reports and analysis on People data.
  • Building positive and effective relationships with the wider business and appropriate stakeholders
  • Responsible for Employee Engagement activities.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Must have 5-8 years of relevant experience in handling Employee Life Cycle
  • Be a team player with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Have an administrative background and ability to hit the ground running.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach to new challenges and comfortable working in an environment which is subject to change.
  • The ability to work and communicate with a diverse range of people.
  • A well organized and methodical approach with high levels of attention to detail
  • An understanding of the importance of absolute confidentiality and discretion

 

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
